south beach greystones

Fri Jun 16, 2006 2:50 pm

People:Myself, Garry & Gordan

Duration: 12:30am - 5am

Tide: Full at 3:30

Weather: flat calm

Bait: rag, sand eel & mackeral

Rigs: 1 up 1 down

Results: 14 Doggies & 16 pollok

Report: We were meant to go to the north beach but changed our minds at the last minute. The night was lovely, warm and calm. We could see fish jumping out of the water all night. All fish were caught between us and all on the rag or mackeral. Still was a good productive night out...

Hey goods night fishing well done!:)
I'm heading down to greystones tomorrow night was gonna fish the North beach as i fished the South beach last weekend and blancked
I was just wondering the general location that you where fishing, was it further up away from the town? dont worry if you dont wanna give your mark away :)
cheers,
Al

Yeah Al was a great nights fishing I have to say. All the pollock were small buts its still good to catch something. Ill gladly tell you were the mark is, Im not like some people here (i wont say any names)...But we parked in the car park beside the play ground made our way under the tracks. We walked about 200 meters left down the beach towards the town. We got about 80% of the fish there. We then walked down to the end of the beach and fished there for bout an hour & a half resulting in about 6 fish...Hope you land a few yourself make...good luck....

Cheers for that :) thats actually where i fish too so thats grand i thought it might be further down the beach. I was there last Sat morn but not a sausage not even from the crabs, thats the first time i blanked at greystones. but its also the first time i tried squid so maybe that has something to do with it :? only messin i'm sure it was all down to my own wrong doing :)
Cheers again for that,
Al
