Kilteery

Mon Jun 05, 2006 12:32 pm

People:Donagh, John & Gearoid

Duration:6:30 till 11:30

Tide:low before 7

Weather: Sunny and calm

Bait:Fish baits, lug and maddies

Rigs:allsorts

Results:small dabs

Report:Fished kilteery shore and pier. Poor session but fine weather and no one blanked. Though I only had one dab compared with the lads who had a few. No ray or dogs which was a mystery but calm weather has given gin clear water in the estuary. My thanks to the lads who I fished with for the first time and I learnt where to fish and some good new info from.

Hey Donagh
We were tope fishing saturday off littor strand and failed to catch any tope.
However, we also failed to meet any doggies which is really unusual.
Bright sunshine and the weekends small tides made the estuary very hard work
Roll on next weekend

I fished kilteery on saturday evening and had a couple of dogs to fish bait. crabs stripping the bait in about 5 minutes made it really hard work.

Tried a mark west of Labasheeda yesterday for what I tought was some guaranteed tray and huss action. Seems most of the fish in the shannon headed off for the long weekend... Not a bite, had crap fishing right over the weekend actually.

Stilkl though, nice weather :-)

Due to baby sitting duties I missed a club comp out in cappa. Talking to sean365 it was poor enough for one of our better venues. A fella came in after fishing on a boat and said the bottom was visible all the way out to scattery Island.
