People: Me, the Bro and for a short period, te ariki nua & merv147

Duration: 1945 - 1030

Tide: Dropping from a 1740 high

Weather: Calm, sunny and warm

Bait: mack & rag

Rigs: pulley, scratcher and lures

Results: 2 x LSD, 1 x coalie & 1 x pollack

Report:
I headed to the breakwater tonight because yet again - it was a really nice evening. The bro had been out all day up at Red Bay and had landed a hat-trick of pollack, a plaice and some whiting, I met him on the breakwater which was already busy with a few anglers including te ariki nua & merv147 - NICE TO MEET YOU LADS :) :)

te ariki nua & merv147 hadn't fared too well at this mark but had landed a few red cod earlier in the day.

I chucked a baited rig out and then headed down onto the rocks with a C bar and some spinning gear, the first two casts laned a coalie and a pollack - both small - no other fish landed with this method.

It was all quite up to around 2130, we then landed an LSD each - nice size - but nothing else.

Some other anglers further down the breakwater landed a pollack and a rockling but nothing else of much note.

It was an enjoyable session - good weather makes all the difference 8) 8) a few more fish would have been even better but on a dropping tide your chances are always halved.....

hi-de-ho campers.....
