Yes 1st club outing in ages, had been looking forward to it for ages. Got well prepared the night before, picked the bait up and headed off down the coast. Stopped at the chippy in and headed round to Garron Point to polish of the chips prior to starting the comp. Sitting in the carpark staring out to see when you'll never believe it. 2 DOLPHINS up out of the water about 10m high. Well i never bricked it. Ran out of the car onto the rocks to watch upto a pod of 30 dolphins/porposes swimming, jumping acrobating out of the water heading for Glenarm. A truely once in a lifetime experience for me.
Headed round to Waterfoot and stayed for 2hrs. The weed was serious. Couldnt hold bottom with 6oz gripper. Packed up and headed round to Glenarm breakwater where i met up with old mate Scrab. Was introduced to Lee from the forum and 2 former members of CBAR.(husband and wife - fair played Julie fished the other half off the breakwater).
Fished from 1930 til 2300hrs. 2 small codling and 2 dogs.
