Good catch there, what colour flying c's work best for you? i've not tried them in the sea before, usually just stuck to toby/ dexter wedges before.

Hi Cortaz,

Cheers,

hi gavin
flying Cs will catch u more than all the plugs/flys/wedges/ect. that are out there.
stick with them for the summer and watch your catch increase .
pollock love em deep and slow, high and fast for bass, sea trout,
suggested to Aido to try them last year he had his first 4 bass in i hour
he has had some fine c trout up to 4lb. on them this year
simply the best lure available and the cheapest E1.50/E2.00 each most of them plugs at E10.00/20.00 are a total rip off dont be fooled by them.
i,am not.

I have a flying c in my box somewhere from years ago when i dared an attempt at salmon fishing, maybe i'll give the pollack a bash with them this summer!

I'd concur with cortaz about the flying c's-had some fun with them in Wexford Harbour a fw years ago - the bass can be mad for them sometimes

Hi all

Yep would agree with all that, good lures for a variety of fish but keep an eye out for the really cheap versions as they often dont have a good clevis and the blades dont spin well.

I got a bulk lot on ebay , about 25 for €15 euro. some i use out of the box (the red ones i do like best) but i modify others .

What i often do is to rip off the plastic skirt to reveal the lead on the shaft of the spinner, this lead can be spray painted any colour and then i remove the treble hook and add the tail end of a jelly worm to it (also bought in bulk) and then re-attach the treble with a split ring.

a good lure for pollock (the jelly tail adds a bit move movement to the lure) and salmon and trout etc. perch love them too
