People: me and gf,s dad
Duration:1pm til 6pm
Tide:incoming to outgoing
Weather:sunny but cold
Bait:mackerel,squid,rag
Rigs:float
Results:pollack (1 huge one that surpised me)
report: fished this place again, there has to be fish there somewhere.was there most of the day, kept getting tiny bangs on the float but nothing worth mentioning, then Bang! the float went under, not even a foot in front of me,i waited for a couple of seconds just to make sure then i felt the weight of it as i lifted the rod and began winding in.it was pretty heavy but it was toying with me,it shooted straight under the rocks underneath me to try and snag me but i kept winding furiously, then in it came, this huge pollack, suprised to say the least.there has to be more.

Hello Carl,
Super stuff my man! That is a lovely pollack. A nice little story too. Sounds like it was really exciting. I'd say it was a joy to watch him swim off. Well you've certainly given me the goo.
All the best,
John D

lol thanks for the replys guys, and yes the fish did come home with me after much delberating about it with the F.I.L. . i didnt know that pollack were edible fish though,i was gonna gut it and feed it to the cats, but if its edible sod the cats :) lol.............
dont worry though i dont make a regular habit of taking my fish home with me,i normally let them go back in to the sea but since this was my biggest catch of this year i thought sod it,thats what people catch fish for is it not......
anyways,we shall be making more visits to the gobbins,so if anyone is making visits themselves drop me a message.....
oh and just while im here, anyone getting trouble trying to gert hold of lugworm? if so,i know a brilliant spot from where to get them from, just need a decent day and the tide to be right out.

lol yeah i know what you mean, that hill is a killer to walk up,what we do now though is drive down to the farmhouse, and then walk down as then you havent got some much of the incline to walk back up,the guy who owns the farmhouse is dead on and even stops to have a chat with you if he sees you.
