Packed up the car and headed down to Dodds Rock from Dublin at 5.30am on Thursday. As I arrived, I realised I had left the headlamp at home

After a difficult set up in the dark, the bait went out. I was using fresh leg for the most part. I took in 3 decent size whiting (over 25cm) and moved up the beach to where there is a gully. I changed tactics and fished a large squid bait on a pully pennel rig to no joy

Packed up around 10am, was nice to get out for a few hours!

Fishing the rising tide on Friday at Greystones Harbour, had fresh rag and squid. A friend fished close to the wall (within 20ft) and saw most of the action with a few whiting and one decent pouting. I launched out a trusty large squid bait but came back untouched. I then swapped to rag and fished out far picking up one whiting (about 15cm). A quick session of about 2.5 hours/3 hours as united was kicking off at 8pm
