Howth

Well, my beach fishing has been absolute pants lately so I decided to get the lrf rod out and go bash some wrasse. Arrived at the rock mark in Howth an hour before high water and got going, I was dropshoting berkley gulp and straight away I was getting small pollock, then I got into the wrasse, a couple of them decent, they really are great sport on the light tackle. Bites dried up an hour after high water, decent afternoon, enjoying this Lrf lark :D

That’s a nice Ballon Wrasse for the area Greendag.Glad you had fun with LRF fishing because in a few years I think that’s all the fishing there will be.If your ever over on the Aran islands bring you LRF gear with you and you will have great fun catching Wrasse.I’ve caught Wrasse to 5 pounds by accident while fishing for pollock. The pollock numbers are steadily declining but the Wrasse fishing is still good.Tight lines.
