Equipment: 13ft surf rod using pennel pulley rig (3/0 specimen X & 1/0 chinu) & 11ft bass rod with 1 up 1 down paternoster rig (size 4 b940s with popup floating beads).
My Bait: Ragworm, Squid.
Conditions: Hot, Humid, Foggy, Hazy Sun, Full Moon
Result: 1 Tope, 1 Smooth Hound, 1 Conger Eel
After a good session yesterday I had to go back to the same spot again tonight, and it paid off, got a slightly bigger tope pup than last nights, a small smooth hound, and my first proper conger eel as I was about to pack up! All fish took the squid on the pennel!
I took the eel home for tomorrow nights dinner, going to part boil, skin and then marinade it in an eel sauce then I will fry it in a tempura batter with panko breadcrumbs, so hopefully it'll be nice
