With a tonne of bait left over from the boat competition I attended on Sunday, I decided to give a new spot a try, I've only fished here once before and that was way back in March. I setup camp under the martello tower as this is the recommended spot in shore marks section on this forum. I started off with 2 hook flappers on both rods, one with rag and the other with peeler but as time went on things got pretty rough with storm Francis so I eventually reduced down to 1 rod with a pulley rig and using mackerel/razorfish/ragworm cocktails. Most of the time my baits were coming back unscathed until I put a nicely size mackerel fillet with the last of my ragworm out and pulled in a few crabs. The rain started getting very heavy around 15:30 so I packed it in, even though I had planned to fish until 19:00.. I don't think I'll be fishing here again any time soon
I'll have a video to post here later today!
