Report:
First cast with the new Penn Powerstix 13ft. I lobbed a bait out about 20 yards where the little surf we had was breaking. I was hoping for some flats. I put the second rod together and cast out about 100 yards. As I was putting the second rod on the rest I got a cracking bite.
Aido managed a flounder. We had a couple of knocks but that was our lot.

I honestly don't know than name of this Beach. I'll have to get the OS map for the area and see if it's on that.
As for Bass fishing in the area. There is good Bass fishing to be had from most of the beaches in the area. It's just a matter of giving them a bash.

Cheers K2,
This was one I found myself Robert. I normally put Henry on the marks down there. I was looking at the OS map of the area as I tend to do..... 8) Looked mildly interesting so I decided to try find it. Managed to find it and there was not a person in sight as the access is very difficult. I have fished it a few times over the last 3 years and only once did I come accross another angler. If we hook up for a beer or chat sometime I'll put you on it. 8)

Being from the area there are cracking beaches in Clare for bass which are well hidden from view and have a good surf I think I know that beach Clonashee or the Model some people call it.
