Killoughter 24/02/2019

Postby Daz » Mon Feb 25, 2019 12:49 am

Time: 17.00 - 21.00 Tide: from HW - LW. Rigs: 2 hook flapper; pulley pennel Bait: mac, squid, sandeel, frozen lug Fish: codling, 6-7 whiting,5 doggies. As my usual Saturday fishing got ruined with family things,i had to go out and wet a line Sunday evening regardless Monday work.M50 + N11 + rattling 5 min on Killoughter lane and i am in front of the sea.Was surprised to see so many lads fishing, hope they got better results than me.Anyway - shelter up - rods out and cup of coffee for myself.I had an hour in the light, but didn't see any nibble on rods, except one greedy crab who fancied sandeel.Once it got dark small codling made an appearance and next few hours rod with pennel ( squid, mac combo) started to bring in doggies, and rod with flappers(lug, sandeel) - whiting.Shame it was Sunday,I would stayed few more hours ,cuz fishing was easy- little wind, no weed ,nice and warm night. It was just a pleasure spent few hours on Sunday at the front of the sea.Thight lines.
