Two fine fish, well done. Interesting to see 6 different species on 5 different baits/cocktails.

I found it more frustrating, the plan was to narrow down what was working but couldnt do that unfortunately

That is an exceptional fish. For context, it would easily have won any year of the Irish Bass Festival.
Couple of general wonderings:

1)Are length based claims allowed for bass? I know they do them for a few types of shark, but I would have thought it to be irresponsible not to have it for bass, given that killing them is off the table for much of the year.
2)What are the current regs on bass is it back to strictly C&R ? I know from October to the end of 2018 you were allowed one fish over 42 cm
3)In your opinions, was this bass late to leave? The condition of this fish indicates that it's pre-spawn. After a very mild winter so far, I wonder have sea temperatures stayed high, thus keeping fish inshore for longer?

1 yes bass can be length based for specimen claims.

2 I believe jps just cleared that up with a recebt post, bass are now only a c&r fisheries, not that it affected me. I always use c&r for all my bass.

3 I genuinely have no idea. Hard one to tell for myself, maybe sometime with a lot more knowledge of bass could some a light.
