Clew bay beach

Boss let me off work early so for the evening that was in it decided to hit a beach mark, only fishable at night this time of the year. Picked up my brother and of we went. One rod each with three hook flappers baited with mackerel. Started off slow with a strong wind present but eventually died off. Ryan had the first fish, a small turbot at 17cm. My rod started nodding aggressivly with a fish darting side to side , trout, bass? No a mackerel on the top hook and a weever on the bottom. Disappointed but fresh bait all the same. Night had fallen and then the signiture tap of a doggy was apon us. Ryan had one next then I followed with a treble with one to follow,Dissappeared after that. Fishing went quiet for 30 mins then a bite registered on my rod. A double of a poor cod and a strap conger, delighted for the species count. Weed moved in and became unfishable, enjoyable dry night with afew fish. Perfect. Tally of 6 species in 3 hrs of a beach, happy days
