Time , 4.00pm- 6.30pm
Fished a mark I havent been to in years so decided to give it a go. Not great reports from the beach and it is quiet barren looking. Set up my gear in an area with small but plenty of waves tumbling up whatever food for the flounders and turbos. 3 hook flappers with a lidl bit of mackerel and cast into the surf. No bite for the first 3 casts then a solid thump and slack line , classic flounder indication. Reeled in a plump flounder of 35cm, blank saved! Cast out and immediately got a rattle again. Seatrout? No a lip hooked flounder darting side to side trying its best to free itself, but I had him. Biggest one so far this year at 41cm absolutely delighted. Went quiet for about 40mins as the tide was turning but then picked up with a turbot of 24cm, another plonker flounder of 40cm and then the coalies came on the scene had 2x treble hook ups of flounder and coalies and afew more single coailes called it a night as the bait supply went quick. Didnt mind had a great session! Kept some of my fish in a pool just for A photo , all returned!-Joe

Great return, some contrast to galway last night - 7 rods out only 1 coalie and 1 rockling - terrible!
