Hadnt been out In 2 months - the longest stretch in 8 years

had pretty much lost interest, but said I should before 2 months becomes 6

local beach, no great surf, slack tides, bit of weed, but no rain
if the blank came a short trip home

two rods out with flappers, saw a small rattle thought a flounder after 45 mins - nothing on
next cast bang bang - the same trout was back and well hooked

could see him tail walking 50 yards out - nice little fight in the end
lip hooked and nicely bounced off the rig into my keep bucket, to recover before being swiftly released after a quick measure, 36 cm - no lice, great condition

spirits up and tide dropping fast, few balls of weed with a flounder on the bottom hook 17 cm
same 20 mins later 19 cm

packed up happy out, bit of enthusiasm for the next session

Good to see a sea trout with no lice, it must have struck up a friendship with a cleaner wrasse!
