Time: 1530-1900
Got out for a short session on donabate beach at the rocks in front of the waterside yesterday from the low up had a flounder a schoolie and 2 decent dabs which I've never caught there before nice to get some fish after a disaster trip to youghal last week :)

I get the impression this Youghal place is a bit over-rated at times! It's always good to get something different at a mark.

2019 species; ballan wrasse,blonde ray, coalfish, cod, cuckoo wrasse, dab, dogfish, flounder, goldsinny wrasse, ling, mackerel, plaice, pollack, poorcod, pouting, scad, sea scorpion, spotty ray, spurdog, thornback, tub gurnard, turbot, whiting.

Wonder if its a seasonal thing?
Dabs are odd, I've had sessions when the reached plague proportions on a few sheltered Mayo beaches in April and not seen them the rest of the year...

Nice to get a few fish rory night time bait robbing whiting and very few flounder around.

Yeh the whiting are a pain there alright haven't had a flounder down there In a few sessions the dabs seem to be following me all I had in kilcoole last week as well
