Got out for a short session on donabate beach at the rocks in front of the waterside yesterday from the low up had a flounder a schoolie and 2 decent dabs which I've never caught there before nice to get some fish after a disaster trip to youghal last week

I get the impression this Youghal place is a bit over-rated at times! It's always good to get something different at a mark.

Wonder if its a seasonal thing?
Dabs are odd, I've had sessions when the reached plague proportions on a few sheltered Mayo beaches in April and not seen them the rest of the year...

Nice to get a few fish rory night time bait robbing whiting and very few flounder around.

Yeh the whiting are a pain there alright haven't had a flounder down there In a few sessions the dabs seem to be following me all I had in kilcoole last week as well
