Blackhead 13/7/16

Weather: blustery!
Bait: mackerel and frozen lug worm
6:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Low water on arrival.

I haven't had many opportunities to fish this year so when the chance of an evening's fishing arose I grabbed it with both hands! Blackhead has nearly always produced a few fish so I made the journey with a view to fishing one rod over sand and another in amongst the rough ground.
I set up shop on the western side of the headland. The wind was strong. NOTE: a life jacket is essential at this mark.
Very quickly, the bites came. The dogfish were hunting! As I hadn't been fishing for a while, I was happy to fight the doggies! I caught six during the session.
I picked up two flounder on lug over sand.
I tried to target a conger but my big mackerel baits over the rough ground went untouched.
All in all, this session was just what the doctor ordered - a bend in the fishing rod, a couple of species and plenty of fresh air! I'm unable to upload photos. I think I need to resize them.

Are tope a possible target from this mark?
