People:me +my dad
Duration:17.00--20.00
Tide:high-17.00
Weather:fresh e/ne dry
Bait:rag,lug +mack
Rigs:2 hook flappers
Results:2 codling, 1 coalie,loads of crabs+ 1 cormorant
Report:headed round to the pier for a bit of shelter from the wind, usually lots of small stuff about but struggled to get thru the crabs, best bit of entertainment when a bird flying low at full pelt flew into one of our lines + nearly wrenched the rod out of the rest, the cormorant went sumersaulting thru the air then splatted into the water like a clip from uve been framed thank fully it was unharmed and swam away.,there was a load of half dead ragworms left to die and rot and stink by someone fishing a night or two before,if u dont want your left over bait dont leave a mess ,throw it in and feed the fish.

Rab,
I'm not very familiar with Ballylumford but it would be a new spot to tryquite close to home. Do you fish from the small harbour wall ( I think from memory there is toilets beside it ) facing the ferries ?

hi lads, you can fish from the end of either side of the pier or fish from the toilet block if really windy for a bit of shelter, cast straight out or from the left side you can cast slightly to the left towards the hot water outlet were the whirlpool is as this can attract fish to the warm water, congers a possibility as broken ground close in, this venue is one of only two on the antrim coast sheltered from an easterly wind i have fished here in strong easterly when everywhere else is unfishable.
hope this helps, rab
