I caught one Mackerel on Sunday April 3, fishing from the shore in Bantry Bay. The fish took a small pirk and was hooked within 30' of the shore. The fish was caught close to the bottom as I was after Pollock.

Mackerel showing in goodish numbers at Dursey but the dolphins are getting most of them!
Live out on the beautiful Beara Peninsula. Always willing to assist visiting anglers.

Was out in Rosbeg, Killary and then over to Little Killary for a hour or two running up to high tide yesterday evening. Not a sign of any mackerel being caught. All we got were a few pollack in L Killary... There were plenty of people fishing in Rosbeg. Nobody had any..... :(
