Someone once said that blanks are worth reporting. I'd agree as doing so provides a record as the quality if fishing on offer at that time..
I drove to the coast on Saturday to be greeted by a huge swell coming over my intended mark, again
And, having tried a few other marks close by, and seeing similar circumstances, I returned home deciding to return the following day. 2 hours soaking frozen lug and mack baits on my return yesterday provided a fruitless results. Despite trying different directions and distances the baits weren't as much as touched the whole time. The sun was shining and it was a glorious day with plenty of people out walking and the inevitable few popping over to ask "Have you caught anything?". Even dropped the shrimp pot too for the first time in ages. Nothing interesting there either, just a handful of shore crabs. It was enjoyable to be out nonetheless.
The trip also gave me the chance to test run the new camera again: Olympus Tough TG-860. Although it is waterproof and 'drop-proof', I'm still not fully convinced by the quality of pics!
It'll have to do for now I guess.
Fair play to the mad eejits out sailing. A wee pic of my new pet at the end to brighten things up a bit..
Tight lines an' all that
Chuck
