a late report from sunday in courtmacsherry

Postby alfiebass » Wed Dec 30, 2015 12:42 pm

my self and si decided to take advantage of a break in the rain on sunday pm so headed down to courtmac to get out of any wind . we arrived with one of the biggest tractor
runs I've ever seen, we didn't fancy waiting till they had all gone by so decided to slot in between them to get down to the beach. dug a few lugworm then geared up
and headed out along the point ,found a nice little ledge the two of us could fish from the water was very coloured from the rocks to around 100ft out then normal colour
so i decided to cast on the edge of this line using three lug on a pennel pully rig .nothing for the first few casts not even any weed then the fish seemed to come on
after half an hour all went quiet . twenty mins later back on again it went on like this till we ran out of bait. we fished from two hrs after low tide to high into dark
and finished up with 16 small codling one keeper and three pin whiting si had 7 codling and 2 whiting all in all a great session between this shite weather
