Desided to check out this Venue a few weeks back as I had never fished it and was interested in checking it out for a bit of night fishing. It is serviced with full lighting which is ideal

Its pretty foul stuff either side of the pier, so I figured all the usually rough ground species should be in abundance. First few sessions produced lots of doggies, and one nice 38" huss. We were fishing on the ebb, most nights which wasn't ideal for Pier Fishing. But ya got a make use of the time you have. I am hoping to fish the rocks to the right of the pier in good weather by day. Looks promising.
Sunday 25th Sept
Time: 10.30pm-4.00am
Tide: Last hour of ebb, first few hours of the flood
Rigs: Pulley Rigs, Running Ledger.
Bait: Freshish Mackeral
Species: Strap Conger, 3 bearded Rockling, Doggies, Pollack
I had pretty crap fishing all evening, only managing one dog fish on the pulley rig I was using. However Danny had a great evenings fishing. First fish for him was a lovely 3 bearded Rockling, in the last hour of the ebb. A new species to added to his list. Followed by numerous dogs throughout the flood and small strap. On his final retrieve he managed a small pollack. Not a bad number of species I must say. He lost a Nice Huss toward the end of the night, which was a disappointment. We packed up and headed home at 4:00 oclock, as the wind picked up and was becoming a bit of nuisance. Roonagh is infamous for it exposure to the elements. That and we had run out of leads, this place is tackle graveyard. Our own fault for not using a rottom bottom link :/
We fished the mark again Monday night, and only managed one dog for the session. Fishing the ebb of a spring tide was definitely not a good plan, but it passed an evening. Danny missed a big bite, It had to have been a good conger or big huss the rod keeled over..
Will be fishing here again soon. Its definitely got potential at high tide.

Heres a picture of the Huss Rory caught on the first night we fished it
