Heading to either Rossnowleagh or a bit further to Tralee,Kerry. Anyone know how either is fishing, heading for 3 days

Just back from Kerry. We focussed almost entirely on bass for 4 days and it was poor. Got 13 but 10 in 1 sesh and nearly all small. Regret not trying other things eg rays but am guessing they would be thinner now. Invariably there'll be some good catches recorded from the Pairs but I suppose it's how that compares to rod hours fished.

youd stll have a chance of a ray if you get a settled spell in the bay, again mullet to the right tactics from fenit pier if conditions suit, kerry head for mackeral if theyre scarce, but that needs calm wether too really, apparantly the pairs fished the drop at inch yesterday and results were pleasing basswise, ROSSNOWLAGH...i think John West knows more about that area than me, i believe you get small flounders, and seatrout at certain times, and bass if you are very very very lucky in the right conditions. disappointed to hear about the bass fishing Guernica, am heading down for a week soon :/

The daiwa pairs men were saying fishing is poor due to red tide down in kerry. Schoolie bass on inch

I really regret not trying for the rays more as the weather was pretty settled, too settled for any surf really.
