Fantastic couple days fishing of the beach in wexford. Some real specimen fish. From the first cast on the Saturday I had a cracking smoothound. I had previously fished this mark a couple of weeks beforehand and again I had specimen Smoothound. It didn't disappoint again having a great day.
Strong westerly breeze but had the tent up to keep out of the breeze. The baby tope and whiting where destroying the rag. A couple times I had a treble of tope with pups plaice and whiting.
Beautiful bass as the evening went on. Bass was returned safely. I had one huge bite which just sat every time I tried to real in. A couple of large bites missed but some nice fish landed. Sea was very calm surprised I manages to catch a bass. Plenty of dab around, only small fellas kept me busy.
Was sick I didn't buy more bait the fishing was that good. Few photos below of the catch on the weekend.
Cheers,
Joe
