Well the wee lass wanted to go fishing, I wasn't going to refuse

. Got a picnic packed and a some gear put into the car and we were off. Got to Malin pier about 12 noon and had lunch then got set up and went float fishing. Things where quiet and spent the first two hours figuring out what baits and what depth to fish( been a long while since I fished here last). Once I found a decent coalie (over the 1lb mark) I got the wee lass set up with the same bait combo I was using and set the float deeper. She managed to miss the first two but soon got the hang of it landing two just bigger than mine. Once again it went quiet, pier jumpers spashing didn't help, got her a wee puck on peeler before landing a nice coalie as I was packing up.
All day I just watched her, re baited her hooks and unhooked the fish. She did the casting, playing and returning the fish herself, even give me grief about getting beat 4-1, to which I replied I was being a father dear, making sure your safe and having fun. Which is true as half the time my rig wasn't in the water and I missed bites when it was as I was watching her. But I will take the abuse as it was a great 4 hours fishing and we had fun.
