A quick report from Northern Ireland!
Bank Holiday Monday 25th May- and I was sitting on the rocks in tee shirt, hoody, and full rain gear, with integral fleece attached.... welsome to summer...
Anyhoo, decided to geta few hours out - no bait so popped into Asda for some Indonesian Tiger Prawns, hoping our local fish population watch Saturday kitchen...
Fired a two hook flapper out and concentrated on the float fished prawn. Two pollock caught and returned. Two red cod caught on th flapper - one returned and a tidy fish just over the pound brought home for tea.
What I really wanted to post about however was the amount of fishing debris left by so called anglers. Disgraceful.
I spent maybe 20 minutes picking up countless yards of line, empty rig packs, coke tins, hooks, food packaging etc. And this was at a spot with practically a sheer cliff face that is only frequented by the odd angler.
There really is no excuse - thers a bin back at the car park. Between this and complete fckwits who bag their dog poo and then decide to leave it at the side of the path I went home more grumpy than when I arrived.
Seriously folks - clean up after yourselves. And we're not talking simply about kids - it wasn't feather rig packs left lying about...

This crap really grinds my gears too. It's not hard to clean up after yourself

I tried to fish there on the Saturday before you were there. I had to move further round towards Sandeel Bay as the point was fully occupied by 5 or 6 of our EE brethren.
