Tide: HW at 22.56

people : myself and the olde man
Working the eve shift this week so decided to take advantage of the great weather and hit a rocky outcrop i found on my travels as in my mind it looked like pollock country!!
after a long haul we arrived at the mark and conditions were idea, light westerly breeze & calm seas. initially we baited up 2 rods with crab and sent them way out to see if it would get and interest. in the mean time to kill time we resorted to spinning with the eels.
after the 1st hour things weren't looking to good so i gave up on the sandeels and changed to a hokeye rig. on the 2nd cast 1 scored my 1st pollock of 2015!
shortly after the pollock i noticed movement on the crab and was delighted to get my 1st ever Wrasse! tipped the scales @ just under 4lb!
The morning finished with 1 more pollock smaller than than the 1st and after teh "1 more cast" we grudginly hit the road for work
Poor pops blanked
