South County Dublin beach mark

Thu Apr 16, 2015 2:02 pm

People: Me and one other

Duration: last two hours of the rise

Tide:on the way in and then in

Weather: 10/10

Bait:Rag and peeler

Rigs:flappers and pully

Results: next question

It was a nice night. Not a tap at all. Not even a crab. The rag were coming back alive and well washed. The crab untouched. What could be described as a total waste of time but for the fact that it was nice to be out anyway. Someone over to our right let of twenty or so Chinese lanterns which were beautiful to look at but two landed in the sea just in front of us as the last of the light faded. If there were any fishe there they might have been spooked.

Unlucky on the "blank" I was out Monday and Tuesday got loads of action (Bass, Flounder, Dogs) but went out yesterday and blanked! I was in the same place, same time (relative to teh tide), same bait so i was full of optimism but didnt even get a bite!!

there was 2 main differences, surf was gone and the wind was gone to a light easterly rather than northerly.

Im starting to listen to what i refused to believe over the last few months "if the breeze is coming from the East dont bother"!!

Any time spent fishing is never time wasted, blank or not.
