Beach fishing Ballymoney Wexford 8/03/2015

Location. Ballymoney Wexford
Bait. Rag and lug
High tide. 22.30
Duration. 20.00-24.00
Rig. 3 Hook Flapper hook size 1/0 and 5oz grip led.

Straight into fish first cast with 3 whiting. Continued like this most the night with the whiting stripping the hooks clean. 16 whiting, 1 nice codling 47cm, 4 flounder, 1 plaice and 2 rockling.

The whiting got a bit ridiculous, resulting in packing up early as no bait left. Good night's fishing all the same.

That's great to see 5 species of a wexford beach, I'll have to first of the great after the winter!!

nice one. the whiting can be fierce, on every bait in seconds.

I was out there on the kayak a few weeks back going up and down the beach with a dept finder. That beach has a few deep holes in it. Very interesting structure to that beach.
