Rigs:
2 hook flappers with rotton bottoms
Results:
Wrasse and Pollack
Report:
Hit a favourite Wrasse mark of mine near Streedagh for the first time in a few years expecting some nice fish but nothing for 2 hours around LW time.
Probably not the best time to fish for them at LW so we moved to Easky to another mark and had a few Wrasse on the float. Picked up some nice pollack spinning with
Hookai's as it got dark. The following morning at HW around 8am we hammered the Wrasse. Lots of fish coming in around the 3lb mark and just over.
Hoping for a specimen but not this time. They love the rag but small crabs would probably get even bigger fish.
Fished on until about 3pm when everything switched off again at the LW mark.

nice fishing session, well done
I fished Easky on the pier a few years back and I caught 2 nice wrasse of 5 and 6 pound.
Were you on the pier?

We were near the pier. Too many surfers coming and going at the pier although they were generally pleasant.
I would think that crab would get the bigger wrasse but full of them there anyway.
Any ideas when Wrasse move out from their marks in the shore. I believe during the colder months they move off but cannot be certain.
