[b]Headed to trabolgan with the family on the 11th, but this year I had the brother inlaw and a car, so everything was looking great.
We arrived on the Friday late in the evening and met up with Dave78 from on here who sorted us with lots of razor and crab. Thank you again dude, your a star!
On the Saturday we done some recon work and had a look at allot of the beaches close to trabolgan and decided on Inch, but when we arrived that evening the surf school was in full swing and there was just to many people to even try get a line out, so we headed back to White gate... We fished there for a while, I managed a 2 decent flounder out of it,

We called it a night early and headed back for some time watching a show......
Sunday morning we decided to head down to inch before the crowds and got there at 5am, the surf was rolling and we got excited....
But all we got was about 10 ton of weed and a HUGE flounder. We decided after 3 hours of cleaning weed it was time for Golf.....

On Monday we headed to ballycotton for some mac and some wrasse fishing. It was jammers down there and not a single mac was being landed by anyone... So after 4 hours of wrasse just nibbling the hooks and not taking, and not a single mac being landed we headed back for another show

On Tuesday we hit a small beach not far from trabolgan, the wind was right and the beach was clean so we though we might have a good nights fishing.... After an hour a local lad arrived with spinning rod in hand and gave us a few tips before he went off.. 20 mins later he arrived back with a lovely bass that was just under 5lbs... That gave us a bit of hope so we fished on. While we were talking the local lad noticed a small pup fox sneaking up the beach looking for some fish or bait, he got neather

.. About 11pm my rod got hit and I landed my first cork bass, 46cm. Happy days, we found some bass. After that my young fella landed a flounder and that was it till 2am.. We packed up and went home.

That was it, we spent every day traveling around trying to find a beach with no weed, the wind had changed on us and blew in every bit of weed the sea had.. We tried spinning off the rocks, nothing. Float fishing, nothing...
All told after 5 days of fishing and about 100km traveled around cork we got 4 flounder, 1 bass, 1 eel and a goby...
