Report:
Accuweather lied to me. 6% chance of rain my eye. Leaving the shelter at home was a school-boy error though
I set up quickly and got the baits in the water. A single sandeel at range and a 3 hooker flapper close in armed with trusty frozen black lug. There was a nice chop in the water but the undercurrent wasn't fierce; both rods held bottom with 5oz grips easily. The absence of weed a nice bonus.
The first hour was spent hauling strings of east coast piranha in. Fingers well chopped and rain pelting in, thoughts of a early night entered the head. A dodgy tangle with a spare rig nearly made my mind up for me. However a nice knock on the flapper in close banished these illogical thoughts and a decent spring codling broker the surface. No biggy but a nice morale booster. A few more codling obliged interspaced with a couple of dabs.
I blanked on the few eels at range so I switched that one to a flapper as well
