People: me + my mate Jason, Marco and his son

Duration: 4 hours

Tide: high tide running out

Weather: dry , very windy

Bait: mack,sandeels,feathers

Rigs: mack feathers, wessex, conger

Results: coalfish

Was chatting to Marco for a few days on here and planned to head to lennan bay for a session at high tide last night , forecast was looking good so off we set only to get there to be battered by 25 mph winds blowing straight at our faces , the first few hours past without a knock after all methods where tried , conger rods got a few knocks leading upto and into darkness and I myself hooked one about 3/4lb only for it to spin itself off as I was lifting it over the pier , Marco also missed a few good takes and me and him both got two small fish before we left mines being a coalie around 1/4lb and his being a pollock of around same size.
Dissapointing evenings sport more so for Marco than us as he had a few hours drive on the way home though was great to meet another forum member and I'm sure we will get another trip soon hopefully to a more productive spot later in the year

wind in your face at leenan pier is no fun, the beach there sometimes is a better bet, anyway all fishing is great.

Despite the wind and the drive up myself and the wee man had a great time. That small Pollack kept my record clear of a blanc this year.
Thanks for having us up and we will definately come back for a bit more fishing later on in the year.

Next day we hit Silverstrand with Sean and done some nice fishing that resulted in some descend flounders (in between 35 and 37cm's), two turbo's and Sean added to the species list with a doggy.

Friday evening we gave the rocks at Portnoo a go but it was piss poor, the wee man got a small pollack spinning and again my last cast of that evening saved me from a blanc pulling in a descend sizes rockling.
