Tide:rising
Weather:slight breeze where I was,,,,dead calm where Fishface was around the corner

Rigs:2 and 3 hook flappers
Results:Coalies, codling, Doggies, Whiting, Dabs
Report:It was my first time out in weeks and as much as I love Greystones, I decided on a change of venue,,,,so it was off to Wicklow Harbour this time. With the "stretch" in the evenings now upgraded to a "Grand stretch", we had to wait a little longer for the fish to start coming in numbers,,,but the small jellyworms tipped with mack still did the business in daylight on the light rod,,,starting me off with a couple of coalies . Neil had some chunky little codling in the mid twenties , with the fish getting slightly bigger as darkness fell. We had set up on the corner, with Neil kindly letting me set up in the breeze, while he nestled in comfortably behind the sheltering wall

. The fish were hammering the bait on most casts, with doubles and even a treble coming in. We could hear the crowd cheering as Ireland's Strongest Men battled it out in the Murrough car park but myselfe and Fishface had our own battle to fight as usual,,,but we couldnt keep count of the fish

. As soon as I said "You'd think there'd be a few doggies about!",,,,Fishface landed one and made sure everyone on the Pier saw it

. I got my own back later on, getting 4 doggies and adding another species to this years list

. All the baits were landing fish,,,I was trying different baits on the flappers but they all worked. Enjoyable session, just what the doctor ordered,,,,now to hit the beaches and hopefully not have a crap session that will drive me back to the Harbours
