People:me and a friend

Duration:1 hour

Tide:incoming

Weather:sunny and cloudy,very warm

Bait:power isome

Rigs:shirasu jig heads

Results:1 beautiful corkwing wrasse!!

Report:Went to the flat rocks to fish it for the first time.I have often arrived here to fish it but chickened out because of the wind or waves!!! I was looking for my first lure caught fish.I jigged out into the more open water with no success so I moved to a little hole that I spotted while climbing down.I wasnt getting any takes so I let the jig head sink a bit further down as the hole was quite deep. This worked a treat as straight away I got a good scrap out of a beautifully marked corkwing wrasse,a new species!!I was surprised as I would have thought it was too early for wrasse but thats fishing!!!!!After that I moved around a bit but got nothing.I will be returning here in search of my first conger.Watch this space!!
