Report: Given my impending Nuptails' on Friday 10th Jan

I was dispatched to the lovely Wexford to collect the Wedding Rings. ( Not one to miss a chance to drop a line, I 'packed the rods

Done the biz with the jeweller, then off to give the harbour a go. Big weather warnings that day, but since the big blow was coming from the South West, I thought 'grand, offshore breeze means no big rollers that were being experienced by Galway, Cork etc. Sure enough, on arrival as tide was hitting the high mark, not a roller in sight. Great thinks me... got that bit right.

Hmm that were the good news ends

Impossible to hold bottom in the fast deep channel. Tide was whippin' it. I even let a single pulley carry out along the channel... way out, to no avail ( ended up losin that rig 5 feet from Harbour wall

) Tried flappers in the swirling eddy's , no joy. Not a single bite between us. Lots of passers by, trying hard to stand up very bemused by the fact there were 3 lads kitted up' and trying hard' lol. One if commented 'jaysus lads, if you were a fish, would you be out here today? ' Anyway, craic was good, and I couldn't miss the last chance to wet a line for a few weeks !.....I wonder if I New York have any good marks' lol. Be back hittin the beachs in Feb.
