Well done mate, just a pity you did not have some mackerel for bait your chances of landing some good whiting, the best fishing I ever had for whiting, at Da Wall, about 6 years ago, was with fresh Herring, we had a guy put out a short net for them, at Cromane, Kerry, it was full of them and we had a good supply for the next day and loads left over to freeze. Whiting much prefer a good oily fish bait. I remember an old man, I am sure the critter is dead now, but he used to fish a little lough in Donegal and it had only small brown trout in it, but he had the enjoyment of fishing for them, some he would keep and use for bait, fir sea fishing and he did very well with them, but trout are oily fish also.

Well done, looks like there are not many people fishing or maybe they just don't want to report blanks. You had a good days fishing there, you'll be back I would say.
Best regards Wez
