People:
myself and my brothers
Duration:2.00pm to 2:00am
Tide:Hw 4:00pm
Weather:beautiful- mild no wind , dry (I think i was in another country !!)
Bait:Mainly crab - More frozen than fresh - Lug,squid mussell ,wraps etc
Rigs:Mainly pulley rigs - also trying two hook flapper
Results:Plenty of small codling, whiting and coalies and a couple of dogs , 3 cod (keepers)
Report:Headed down for the long haul again - tides werent ideal with HW coming just before Dark but sure what can you do when its the only oppoprtunity - Anyway with tides not great the week before, so we were very short on fresh crab but was supplemented with frozen crab and away we went - on the flood tide was when there was most action and as the tide started to turn it was impossible to hold bottom even with 8oz fixed grip leads as the tide got to slack it was fishable again but the bites were few and far between - As the tide started to flood agin we had one more keeper before it was time to hit the road - A cracking place but i think i need to find some of the more unknown productive marks next time im down as arriving back in Dublin at 5am after a long drive and just 3 small keepers is hard going
thanks to john for the fresh crab and a few of the lads woth a few tips
