West coast session. Happy days .

Report: I got a call fom one of the lads for a Saturday evening to night session. So he couldn't get bait , I gothe job , early start on Saturday morn and first some fresh sand eel and then some lug digging. 3 hours later enough got for a good session. So my part of the job sorted I txed when and where. a reply I was not wanting. I can go now forgot to tx ya. . So feck that now plan B.
Out early this morning and off to a mark I've fished a lot before. Nice surf and a comming tide so lines out . First rod nodded and I taught weed cause there was plenty on the beach. But no this weed was on the move and it was not slowing down then slack line. . Reel reel reel. And it came through the suds a lovely bass . Can't believe my eyes. I've heard of them been got here but never have I seen one. With a lenght of52cm and a weight of 4lb8oz it was my best yet. A few pics and off it went . Some sight to see. Line back in and a hour later a nod nod , a sea trout weight in at 2lb even. Again back to swim another day. I had one more massive hit but no hook up it hit that hard it pulled all the hooks together down the main line of the trace that was home made and i couldn move it . Ill never know but i gess a bass.The wind got up so a move to another mark was needed. Set up again and coalies every where with small pollack too. Half a hour of that and it was time to call it a day. All fish returned and a PB bass .the west coast is been very good to me .

Way to Dan. Nice silve r lad... it might be the only way for me to see one this year. You keep catching them abd I will keep looking at them.. nice going mate.. see you next sunday.. im bring everything with me to see can I get a silver lad.. even have some dynamite ordered.. lol....

thanks John ya catch and release the only way to go especially when it's a slow growning and breeding fish. Best of luck on the session . Looking forward to the report.

I know Sean I can't believe it I'm years fishing for one and then a get two. And the sea trout is always a bonus.
