Report: I'm sure you all must be fed up reading about my trips to Greystones but as I havent been anywhere else lately you'll all have to suffer on

. Best thing I can do is just put up one report even though I was there Sat and Sunday

. Saturday night was freezing, a northerly breeze coming onto the Pier from the Bray Head direction. It was quiet early on, with just 3 Scorpion fish, or Horny Gobblers, in the first 2 hours. Then it came alive and the next couple of hours produced pollock, flounder Dabs, whiting, codling, pouting and Shore rockling,,,,with the rockling and pollock to 30cms. I had bought a Tronixpro Rockfish light rod and I tried some small baits on a 2 hook half ounce weighted rig and was delighted to be able to catch some nice pollock on it. To be honest, the conditions , breezy and choppy water, led me to increase my weight to 2oz to try keep in contact with it but I look forward to warmer weather and hopefully targeting wrasse. I used up all my lug Saturday night and even used up some donated black lug and squid from another angler. This meant that if Fishface wanted my company he would have to dig me 20 more lug on Sunday afternoon as i'm on a tight budget at the moment

. Fair play to him , he dug me some grand little lug which were perfect for small hooks. On Sunday night it was a lot milder and calmer and the fishing was again quiet early on, apart from some nice pollock we both had. It picked up afer a while and all the usual species were caught ,as on Saturday night. I had a good lead on him initially , 9-2 at one stage, but he completely left me behind finishing up 24 fish to 12

.Needless to say he was a bit pleased with himself
