Waterville Holiday report

We came over for our yearly mecca to Waterville and due to other commitments this year we had much less fishing time, but, we still had a fantastic break. We caught Bass to 6lb, Huss to 8lb, Flounder to 2lb and Pollack to 6lb! I had two days out with the legend, John Quinlan and yet again he surpassed himself. Thanks to his patience and knowledge, I managed to break my surface lure duck, break my PB, learn loads more about fishing soft plastics and have a cracking laugh.

I also fished a 2 day competition with Waterville SAC and enjoyed myself immensely, a cracking bunch who were most welcoming. I want to say a massive thank you to the excellent Chris Nelms and Joe Murphy who surpassed themselves and congratulate the incredible Allen Griffin (apologies if I spelt the name wrong ) a very worthy winner.

Nice to see anglers from afar enjoying our superb fishing.

Well done flipper, sounds like you will be back again after that haul.

It was absolutely fabulous and I cannot wait to return.
