Duration:6:00am - 9:30am
Tide:low - rising
Weather:early morning chill
Bait:rag I proudly dug myself
Rigs:
Results:me 1 blemmy 6 coding 3 corkwing wrasse 1 dog and a octopus

Anto 1 blemmy 2 codling 4 corkwing wrasse 2 dogs 1 rocking and an octopus
Report:I decided to dig my own bait for a change thanks for everyone who gave me tips on how and we're to dig its very much appreciated. I rang anto and told him I had rag their and was planning on heading out he said leave it till early satherday and we will hit graystones on a mini species hunt so that sounded good to me. So we agreed to meet at 5 but of course anto couldn't find his keys (per usual) so we got to graystones at 6 and got fishing strait away. From the first casts rods were nodding away with anto really looking to catch a corkwing wrasse so anto reeled in to a lovely little blemmy then me with a lovely ( OCTOPUS) 1St one ever it was then followed by a lsd for both of us then antos rod rattled with a lovely double corkwing wrasse he was chuffed !!. It was following by my double codling then my first ever wrasse. Then anto activity lovely little rockling and then I had a codling wrasse and blemmy and so it went on with fish every cast them anto finished it all up with his octopus and a great session was had only for foreign nationals takein fish no bigger than your small finger

but I guess that's life.
Thanks again for those who helped with the bait digging situation

Stick to the rag or lug.
Did you know that the octopus is one of the most intellegent creatures in our seas they should be returned unharmed back to where you caught it from, unless you intend to eat it yourself, i have eaten them abroad and beleive me they are something i wouldnt eat again.

John1 they wore both returned safe and sound as the taughts never crossed my mind but mickser had a good point I'd say they would make a good bait.
