People:Me and my kids
Duration:4-5hrs
Tide:High to low
Weather:warmish--- windy
Bait:Rag, Lug
Rigs: flappers
Results:6 dogs, 2 ballan, one pin whitting
Report:Well like all trips it started with "Who wants to go fishin?" (I love having the kids off school, no pressure getting up in the mornings, and we are free to do what we want) so it started.. three of them said yes, but wanted to play on the beach first, after gettin bait and having a rough idea were to go , I thought Id drop onto Newcastle beach first, wind was blowing from the south, but much stronger then forecasted but wind i dont mind, casted out with a rag and lug mix, and the weight never touched the bottom (6oz) it was enveloped in weed, and dragged down the beach, "Ok" I thought give this another go, casted out far over to my right, and again it happened this was during the run of the high tide, so did a few cast to explore if I could get around the weed, casted in close, and blasted a few out, then tried to see about feathers getting through it, BUT nope no joy, packed up and thought ok Killiney was always good to me, so we made a B line straight there, first cast saw a Ballan, second a doggy, then a double doggy, so it went

kids went playing up and down the beach and at the very end they decided they wanted to go fishin, the youngest (first time out fishin, I casted a Light rod for her), and she managed to pick up a pin whitting she was THRILLED! and now she wants to go out again (which we just might as I still have plenty of great bait left) Pics will follow..
