People: me and the 2 keiths

Duration: 4 hours

Tide: last hour of rise 3 after drop

Weather: pretty nice

Bait: mack sandeel

Rigs:2 and 3 hook flappers and pulley rigs

Results: 3 ray thornback i think




Report: headed to the beach early at 7 in hope of few flatties no joy tho,
lot of weed for start but pushed tru, not a tap in day light, swapped to pulleys, at darkness,
with joy the buddy pulled in a small thornback then i got a nice bite to fight with, one in pic,
buddy got his second bout same as mine not weighed or mesured as no gear for that, only 1 pic too,
good night tho, and this was our first rays so gearing to get more next time ..........

Yep painted ray or small eyed ray as their known in some places.

that's almost certainly a specimen painted ray - don't know the weights, but they don't get massive? could be wrong as there are none of them around up this end of the country...
