People:me and the bro

Duration:8pm to 2am

Tide:low to high

Weather:flat calm conditions

Bait:lug, peeler, hardbacks

Rigs:pully rig

Result[; ... 18 Smoothound

report....... we decided to hit poolbeg for a smoothy session to catch my first ever smoothound as the conditions were perfect. Went to dig a few lug before walking what felt like a never ending walk up to the lighthouse. Got there at 8pm crab on and fish on within 2 minutes, small pup. Happy days there here. So next cast both rods went at the same time nearly being pulled over. Lucky enough the clutch was set. Never brought a weigh sling so I didn't weigh any of the fish but all in all we had 18 . Nearly a fish a cast. We lost a couple landing them and some of them the hook popped when fighting the fish. It was a very busy session. We ran out of crab and start using lugworm. I didn't think I would get them on the lug but first cast with lug on, bites straight away. We had 4 fish on the lug and decided to hit the road. We could of caught them all night long. It's great to catch a species I never had before.i will add photoes later as my iphone wont let my upload them. It's telling me the pixels are too wide in the pics so I have to figure out how to upload them

I know sparkey I usually go around the half moon but never had any joy so I gave it a go up a little bit further this time and it worked out well for me but I know they can be caught from anywhere in between the car park the light house I went up to do a bit of spinning for pollock before dark and then go out for the smoothies. But Had no joy spinning.i can't figure out why the pics won't upload for me

We got them on peelers, hard back, softies and lugworm. They were taking everything. Nearly every cast had fish or if no fish we got bites every cast. We lost a good few from the hooks popping and lost some trying to land them . I'm still trying to figure out how to put pics up
