Report:hit the usual spot to see what was happening... Got into a ray straight from the off, only a small male. About 20 mins later and a big bend in the rod and what looked and felt like a PB surfaced, lost it as I was handlining it up the pier, hook bent out!
About 10 mins after this, hooked up again and got a nice female..I must invest in a set of scales!!..
After this the tide was rushing in at an almighty rate and it was a losing battle tryin to stay in contact with the bottom!..so packed up and went home.

I was keeping the pressure on so I wouldn't lose it!..and then, as soon as I had it free from the water...off it came!..sickened I was!
