Report:
This is only my second report here first in 3 years been outta the game for while, but hope to have many more before the some summers out have some interesting adventures planned for clew bay this summer on one or two of the islands. All fish were caught in the first hour and a half of being at the mark.. Mark started off the session with a lovely little strap conger of about 4lb followed by nice wee huss of about 6lb by James. Was both the lads first time shore fishing for anything other than mackerel so I was very happy with the results of the session

I managed two dogs myself which I was happy enough with because it was really a session to show my mates there is a lot more to clew bay than catching mackerel and small pollack from bertra head
We fished the first our of the flood to no success which very strange for the mark because usually through up some nice bull huss but its early yet, and plan on get a good head torch this week and try again next week a night see what I can through up.
I have access to pictures that my mate took but might wait until I do my night session next week to upload what I get then not being cocky but this spot never has failed me once.
Also seen picture of a monk fish caught off clare island on boat during the week was amazed to see there still knocking about, its on my to do list to go on the hunt of a Tope or Monk in known stronghold from back in the day that my grandad advised me on...
Sorry if my account of the trip is a bit scattered im useless at this anyway. Peace out and happy fishing
