Clifden bay ray

People:myself and the nephew

Duration:3 hours

Tide:ebbing to low tide

Weather:f4 westerly

Bait:macks sand eel

Rigs:2/3 hook flappers

Results:7 thorn back and 2 doggies




Report:took the nephew down to a local hot spot for thornies
He never caught one before and was into a 41cm within 10 min
We only took a small bit of bait and by the time we ran out we managed
7 thornies and 2 dogs. Biggest ray was 53 cm Smallest was 41cm
Thank god the fishing getting better !

Did you measure them wing to wing or nose to tail? Well done on the rays nice to get the juniors interested. Tight lines. Did you get a pic for the specie. . . . . :P

Nice few Ray,,we had a few small Ray ourselves over that way the bank holiday weekend,,nothing worth reporting though.
